No visible Copyright Statement, Disclaimer and Privacy Policy. If you collect personal information through your website, (and a good website must have an option of contacting the webmaster) - that means you maintain personal information such as emails & personal details. Privacy Policy should explain the visitor what happens with his submitted data. Likewise, if you offer your original material, you should have a copyright statement.

Browser crashing scripts. If your scripts make the browser freeze and crash, "lock" or erase the browser history and / or automatically bookmark the site - your site will be disqualified. (Bear in mind, that above than 3 java-scripts per page, will generally slow down the loading time and cause browser instability)

Right mouse click disabled. Some webmasters, out of fear to have their content stolen - disable the right mouse click. I can assure you, this will not prevent you from potential theft. Photos can still be taken, using a "screen shot" programs, and, moreover, the disabling function doesn’t work for all the browsers. In other words, disabling the right click will not necessarily secure your website, but will surely lead to disqualification.

Excessive use of java scripts, .gif animators and miscellaneous effects. If your website doesn't sell or offer fireworks, then having too many blinking images, distracting effects and moving texts - will shortly annoy the visitor. We would not want to see more than 2 animations / effects per page.

Internal links open in external browser page. All the pages that are a part of your site must open in the same browser window. Guestbooks, if they are provided by an external server (such as Bravenet) -- are exception.

MSN, Yahoo, MySpace groups, Blogs and such. If your website is part or any group-pages, online journals etc -- your site will not be evaluated

Websites that fail the W3C validation test. Since April 2006, we would automatically disqualify websites, which do not pass an online validation using W3C or WDG test. Click on the links in order to check your website before applying.

Commercial, business and profit oriented websites. This Award Program is strictly for non-commercial sites. We would not accept application from online companies or personal organizations that place advertisements on their pages.
