The
MRI studies mentioned in this report were static freeze frame pictures,
trying to examine brain structure and later making structural
comparisons...
Now, with what is called a Functional MRI brain
scan, a video can be made of nerve firings and brain activity over time.
And when done on known sociopaths while the individual is challenged by
a moral/ethical problem... wella! the brain of the sociopath shows a
major cognitive storm going off, much different than when a non
sociopath brain is scanned. There is more... but not enough time, nor
is this the place to spell it all out.
Suffice it to say a FMRI
brain scan can under the right conditions positively identify a person
who's brain is so miswired they have no functional conscience.
I
believe the pathology is in the human genome The Natural Born Soiopath
is a genetic/psycho/social diseased person. born unable to wire up a
functioning social conscience... and there is no treatment, no cure,, a
life log affliction that disrupts every social relationship, network,
system in which they are ALLOWED to participate. There are many in the
US Federal Government.. and on US media.
awesome
article...not sure how much social intervention can change a brain,
personally I don't believe it can, but it sure doesn't hurt to train
society to become more of a positive environment that will not result in
actions by the individual precipitate by his or her brain structure.
Certainly, constant abuse would not be a positive way for a child to
develop as well. I believe that many factors result in criminal
behavior. Not enough opportunity, not enough positive role models or
influences in one's life, a general boredom that a mind of that with a
high intelligence...all of these play a factor. It's about channeling
that intelligence into the community that can be used positively. The
only caveat is that behavior might come out in whatever role the
individual takes in society, and can create antisocial tendencies chan...

into an organizational structure. so the biggie with regard to ethics,
is it better to help those individuals reintroduce to society or to
lock away the mind that creates the criminal so society doesn't suffer.
It certainly doesn't help to feel that the criminal should be coddled
and revered because he or she creates jobs through their imprisonment
(what a weird way of thinking to say the least). Should the criminal
mind become normality and we all succumb to such thinking, or should we
try to retrain the criminal. Again this is all presupposing that
criminals think at all, and are not just products of their basic
instincts and drives.
